Red Crested Blue Jay

by Lori
(South Carolina)

I just saw a blue jay with a red crest, and I have never seen one before. It looked like the typical blue jays that are all in South Carolina, but its head/crest was red and was in a group of the regular ones that were lighting on some pine trees. I looked on the internet for pictures of a similar bird, but I could not find one. I'm just a little curious about it because I have never seen one.
