Pretty song but cannot find anywhere :(

So a couple of times now, a small Reddish Brown bird has visited my backyard to sit on my porch rail. It is small, roughly the size of a finch or canary, and appears to have ome spots around its tail area. The underbelly and chest is a lighter color of brown, and its beak is a small pointed one, like the kind that would appear to eat insects instead of cracking seed hulls. Im not a normal bird watcher or anything, but I was hoping to find out what this one is in order to create an environment that would encourage it to come around more often or even nest. Thanks for your help.
