Possible abandonment of chicks

We have a nest with two small chicks in just outside the front door - bundle of fluff, but can see breathing - mother/father seems to have abandoned the nest. Have not seen anyone on the nest today, and not on tonight. Anyway to save chicks? What do they eat - through an eye drop, - take them from nest - cover them? Any answers? Hoping the parent will return by tomorrow.
