pigeon sized bird with a curved bill

by Nigel Turner

The bird was scene in Banff Provincial park in Alberta. It was walking on a sidewalk near the Banff Convention Centre. The upper bill is long but the lower bill is shorter. The only birds I've bene able to find like that are found in Hawaii, but they are colourful. This one was just grey, black and white.

Clark's Nutcracker
by: Judy -Seattle

Nigel, I remember seeing this bird in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. It's a Clark's Nutcracker. I saw them in parking areas of the national parks, looking for handouts from the tourists.
