It appears to be family of the croaking ground dove has a red line on the wing.


could you please assist in identifying this bird?

looking at the birds, they have unusual beaks. that does not seem to be a beak of a ground seed eater.
that seems to be a beak used for getting in small spaces. i don,t know exactly what kind of bird it is, but something that eats pine seeds still in the cones, or a stream bird getting things under pebbles, or mud flats (worms, etc.) might be a good place to look.

Hi,

I am so sorry that no one has come forward to ID your bird. I have spent an hour online looking for this unusual pigeon or dove and can not find it. The closest I can come is the Croaking Ground Dove you have mentioned or a Speckle Pigeon from Uruguay. Neither seem to be the exact same bird.
