Orioles

Why can't I attract Baltimore Orioles?

I live in a small city with 1 acre in a 100 year old forest. I have a creek within 300 yards and several sycamore oak and other type of hard woods that are huge and old.

My neighbor has 3 horses and has had horses behind my yard foe 35 years. I have Rose-breasted Grosbeaks, wood thrashes and several woodpeckers and 4 pileated woodpeckers. I saw 2 Baltimore Orioles last September under my hopper feeder and they came at least 2 nights just before dark.

I have a bird bath and several feeders out in back and front yard. I have a bird magnet playing since march. I have put out oranges, oriole feeder and meal worms, suet and peanut nuggets but no Orioles yet. I live in south west Ohio.

Well that is amazing the Orioles don't come. Your home has everything they like. Baltimore Oriole food
Sadly, it might be there are fewer orioles this year. Your home sounds beautiful. I'd come and visit!:-)
