Oriole Birds at my hummingbird feeder

I put out a Humming bird feeder and got Oriole birds. They are drinking the nectar so fast I can't keep up. I was thinking of making my own nectar. Can I add a bit of cranberry juice to the sugar/water mixture to give it colour?

Comment
Absolutely. Make sure it is non-sweetened. Let us know how the orioles like it.

Orioles hanging around
by: Patrick

If you are lucky they may hang around until August. I have been feeding Orioles as well as hummingbirds in my backyard in San Diego for 5 or 6 years and the orioles usually come in April and stay til August. They are so much fun I started a blog as well to keep track of events!

We have had orioles in the backyard in Windsor for over a week. Can anyone tell me how long they will stay around for.
