Orange crested sparrow type body

by John
(Austin, Tx)

This is a small sparrow-like bird with an orange crest. This photo was taken in Austin, TX. This is not a common bird in this area.

I'd like to find out what it is. I cannot find it in any of the online bird guides I've looked at so far.

Thanks

John
