Ontario Canada - very dark brown bird

Hi. Can't get a pic - they're too fast - they even see me at the window. Travel in a small fast moving flock. Are VICIOUS and the flock takes over our feeders - then they take off. They are not as big as a starling - not as small as a sparrow. Look a little like cowbirds, but the head isn't distinct brown on black body - the entire bird is a dark slatish (not chestnut) brown. Tail is small and rounded. And it's not a Junco. Not a swallow of any kind - tail is wrong.


They kind of seem parasitic in the way they attack my feeders in a horde and scare all the other birds away.

It's February in Southwestern Ontario / Michigan US area.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
