One-legged mystery bird keeps coming to our front porch

One legged fluffy/chubby bird keeps coming to our front porch in the evening and doesn't leave until late morning. Leg appears to be tagged.

Definitely a Pigeon or Dove NEW

A casual search pulled up White-Crowned Pigeon but since you didn't say where it was located and these are a very southern bird I can not say with accuracy. You could start with that though. Good luck.

I first thought it was a pigeon. Then several people told me it was to fluffy/ big to be a pigeon. Thanks for your help. It just looked different than most pigeons I see. Wonder why he keeps spending his nights on our porch. Just glad he is okay...seems to be fine with just 1 leg. We are located in WV.
