Left my sunflower bird feeder up longer than usual due to harsh winter. Two weeks ago (4-7-2014) started to get a mature male Red Breasted Grosbeak eating at the feeder on and off all day. He's been joined by another though they won't eat at the same time. They take turns, one sits in the nearby maple tree as the other eats at the feeder which hangs outside my kitchen window. I'm wondering if because I've left the feeder up so long that they might not decide to stay here for the summer...I cannot tell you how much we've all enjoyed their stopping by and we do hope they decide to summer here in New Market, AL.
