No Pic - yellow bird

by Molly
(Kentucky)

I am in south central Kentucky and have several feeders with sunflower seeds.

The bird I saw today was:
- larger than the American Goldfinch
- smaller than the Rose Breasted Grosbeak
- black skinny pointed beak
- black eyes
- black feet
- brilliant dark yellow - deeper than male goldfinch
- yellow was on breast back to the vent - no white
- dark wings with 3 white bars
- head was the dark yellow going to olive on top
- no stripes or markings on head

It stayed for some time eating sunflower seeds
I think it is too big to be a warbler
- eating the wrong food to be an oriole

Any help??
