New visitor to our backyard!

I spotted a new bird in our backyard! At first I thought it was a baby turkey running around an old rotted stump in the center of the yard but, after stopping to sleuth I watched him peck away at the rooted wood. He was so cool! He feed there for approximately 5 minutes while being surrounded by nuthatches, finches, robins, cardinals, bluejays, and even a red bellied wood pecker feeding on a nerby feeder! After researching I discovered this new bird is a northern flicker, hope he hangs around for the spring and summer!

There main diet of choice is ants, could be that you have ants in the stump but your flicker will wipe them out for you!
