new bird at our suet and sun flower feeders

Bigger then a cardinal, grayish color very long tail with a wide white stripe on each side of tail, looks funny when flying, almost like a pinwheel, sorry no camera at the time I saw this bird.

Any idea?
Thanks

Just A Guess NEW
by: Anonymous

You didn't post where you saw this bird at (area of the country) but from what you said, it sounds like a Mockingbird with the stripe but I have never known them to come into a feeder. If you hear a bird singing nearby best described as very melodiously and a continual variation of songs streaming forth from the very top of a telephone pole or tree (they always seem to prefer the very top) that is probably what you have and maybe he just came down to check out the feeder. Just a guess. I hope it is because these are one of my personal favorites with their happy songs!
