name this hawk

(Bulverde Texas)

It's pretty big, I think it's some kind of hawk. It's a dark color, with a white under belly with black polka dots. Underneath it's wings has a reddish tint. The claws are yellow. I live in south Texas, hope you can help me identify this hawk. Thanks

Hi, I'm sorry no one has been able to help. Could you compare the size of your bird to a robin and give more attention to what you mean by polka dots? Are you saying there are black markings on it's breast? We would need more to help you than what you have shared.
