Name that bird

by Gale
(Loveville, Maryland )

Size: About the size of a small pigeon stout body short legs his eyes are in the front of its head

Bill: long and narrow looks to be brown in color it almost touches the ground

Color: Shades of brown it blends in really well with the wood mulch where it can be found.

Activity: It does not seem to move very far. It has been in my yard for the last three days. I can not tell if/what it is eating. There only seems to be one. I live near a pond. There are lots of other birds robins, blue birds, etc. The bird spends its time in my shade garden blending in with the brown tones of the mulch.
