Night Heron? NEW
by: GaryE

It is hard to tell from the picture but that looks like a Night Heron to me. At the national Zoo in DC they get 100 + of them in the Spring near the outdoor bird enclosures so I get to see them a lot.

the beak...........
by: jeana

The beak isn't as long as it appears in the picture, is it? I'm thinking that there is something that is interfering with the appearance of the beak, making it appear (freakishly..lol!) long. As for id... maybe a Yellow Billed Cuckoo?
