Mystery bird of prey

Hi, this is a very common bird of prey I have seen throughout Central and South America - can anyone help me identify it?

a strange large brown bird long beak n bham al

this bird has been seen by at least 6 people on Milstead Rd,Fairfeild Al. This bird hunts day an night,it is not afraid of humans.It swooped down an got a rat in front of a smoker around 1am she never saw it coming,she only saw the bushes shaking,then it jumped out an got his prey kept going in same direction we all have seen it come from she didn't have time to holla

    Tourquoise bird, cardinal size and similar wing pattern and has a beige beak. Except for the beak color, looks like a Indigo Bunting. Is this a juvie??
