Mystery bird near Indianapolis, IN

I spotted the bird in my yard this afternoon (May 4, 2014). Never have seen a bird like this one, and it's not in my ID book for Indiana. (We are just outside Indy.)


Size/shape was that of a mockingbird, yet this bird was predominantly dark gray (think: Junco-colored) with black on its head (think: similar to Crowned Sparrow's markings on head). Possibly a ground-feeder, as it was not at all interested in my feeders, just the food dropped from my sparrows.

You might want to look up Cat Bird and see if the ID picture looks like the describtion of the bird you saw.
