MY Red Breasted Grosbeak

by Bettie Watts
(Mississippi)

We had the Red Breasted at our feeders a couple of years ago,but they didn't show up last year, although the Blue Grosbeaks came back in full force.

We have seen 4 males, and no females thus far. I feed them sunflower seeds and cracked corn, but they mostly eat the sunflower seeds. I put grapefruit out for them, but hey didn't eat any of it.

I haven't been able to get a really nice photo, but I think this one is pretty neat.
