My mourning dove

by Jeannine Shroeder
(Livermore,ca)

I have a mourning dove who landed in my flower hanging basket. I went to water it and she flew away. Before I watered, I noticed a hatched egg and added a piece of melba toast to the basket and hung it back up. As I went inside my home from my patio, two mourning doves arrived at the basket to check their egg; one stayed and one left. She is still sitting on the egg for the last few days. I will take a picture of her and the baby when it arrives.
Thank You Jeanna from Livermore,ca

For some reason mourning doves seem to love nesting inhanging flower baskets. Do send us a picture.
