Much to my delight rose breasted grosbeaks have arrived in my backyard. We live justvsouth of Indy and we started seeing them onMay 5th and have seen males and females. I have a tube feeder with sunflower seeds and a a dome covered three tube with base feeder that are side by side sitting on our deck platform (15ft) off ground. They prefer the dome feeder with the base but eat off of the tube feeder and the floor of our deck. They usually come in groups and sometimes in male female pairs. They are so beautifully marked. We live on a couple of acres with a wooded creek area but our yards is open. First time We have seen them. Hope a couple stays!
