My first ever, male Rose Breasted Grosbeak

by Sheila

I have an open platform feeder hanging by the sliding door. I heard some crunching of black oil sunflower seeds and when I looked over, there he was in all his glory. I think my heart stopped as I knew immediately that it was a Rose Breasted Grosbeak. He came back regularly for the next hour and then he was gone. He was my first and I have not seen him since, but I look for him every day. It was a beautiful site and I hope he comes back!
