mustangsalli96

Smaller bird (just a bit larger than a sparrow)seen at our feeder in North central Illinois. Has black/grey wings with white dots on them, white belly, and a bright red lower neck. Anyone know this bird?

It sounds like a grosbeak. Maybe a young one. I live in Indy & have had a few.

    It is grey with a long beak and a white ring around it's neck. The bird is about the size of a dove and I live in Florida near the Georgia line.
