I im interested in preparing the best food for Florida cranes, and other large Florida wild birds.


Wild bird seems too small textured for them for them. I am considering making golf ball sized "pellets" from the wild bird seed and crunchy peanut butter, but not sure if there may be a better alternative?

Hi,

I live here in Scotland (we do not have Cranes for visitors unfortunately) however, I find that for the bigger birds suet is a great binder and protein filler.

Even the sparrow hawks and the buzzards like it!

Wish you luck with your menu - going now to fill my bird baths and feed dishes.

    Small dusky or dark gray bird, 3 to 4 inches, with a fan shaped tail. The tail had 2 yellow triangle markings, which were about 3/4 to 1 inch each.
