Mourning Dove Eggs

Here is a picture of the two Mourning Dove eggs in my planter.

Comments:
Great photo! Mourning Doves really are one of the laziest of birds when it comes to nest building. Even when they make their own nest from scratch, it is a haphazard thing. What must the hummingbird think, with their exquisite architecturally designed nests?

Fortunately the mourning dove's lover doesn't mind her being a slack housekeeper. It will be fun to watch the birds feed their babies. The adults will pump partly digested food from their own crops into the babies.
Hope you can get a photo of that.

I have a mourning dove nesting in my Clivia plant which is in full bloom. She has become quite used to me going on the balcony to sweep and water the other plants. I have not water this one for several weeks. How long before the eggs hatch???
