Mourning bird lover

by Lila De Vasher

I started feeding a couple doves, this grew.to 20 + birds. I now buy 20 lbs of seeds to feed them.

One day I ran out of seed and was going to pick it up later that day. One of the mourning doves flew at my screen. Others started hanging on the screen. I hastily set out for the food.
When, I started with 3 M.D. I talked to them and one bird didnt fly away when I was in the porch. My husband passed away 09/01/15. I started calling the dove, Lucien, my husbands name.
During my period of mourning, my birds helped me smile, kept me company and gave me a purpose. Grateful
