I feed my birds combination of suet and seed. Living next to a nature preserve aids in my endeavor to draw them to my yard. I get downys, red bellied and hairy woodpeckers everyday. Not to mention tufted titmouse, black capped chickadees, nuthatchs, doves, american gold finch, cardinals, blue jays and of course many many finches and ;sparrows. Depending on the season our marsh is overwhelmed with thousands of red wing blackbirds who returning noise is truly amazing. During the summer I have humming birds and orioles. Great place I live! But the absolutely best news is 2 years ago we had a pair of bald eagles build a nest and made our marsh home.
