(Wallingford Ct. USA)

While walking in the woods I spotted a bird with a needle bill, about 2 inches long. The body was round and similar in shape to a dove, but the tail was splaid as it foraged through the leaves and little streamlet. I have never seen one like it in all the times I have walked this area. It was brownish and about 7 or 8 inches. Near the Gaylord Hospital in Walfd. Can you help???
