Live in N. CA

by Elisa Rosenberg
(Pleasanton CA USA)

I saw some very small grey birds in the almond tree off my deck in Pleasanton, CA at dusk on 11/7/15. I am usually pretty good at identifying birds, but these have me stumped. They reminded me of goldfinches because of the way they were behaving in my tree.

Thanks!

What were they doing that reminded you of a goldfinch? Was it a large flock? Were they eating a specific seed? Were they all gray?
