Little Bird on My Porch

I have a small dark brown or grey bird that sleeps on the inside eave of my porch every night. He is gone every morning when I check though. I live in Mississippi. The bird is about 5 inches long head to tail. It's beak is long (~1inch), dark blackish color, narrow, pointed at the end, and may curve downward just a slight bit. Just wondering if anyone might have an idea of where to start looking to discover who my new backyard pet is. My guess is a Carolina Wren so far. I have not been able to get close enough for a clear picture without him flying away. Thanks in advance for your help!
