Large woodpecker type bird

3 times the size of a woodpecker; red cap, brownish body darker brown ring on under neck (could have been all around but couldn't see). pushed aside a small woodpecker at our suet feeder

If it had a red mark on the back of it's head or a red mark on the side of it's face it is a Northern Flicker which is in the woodpecker family. You can google "pictures of Northern flickers" and numerous pictures will come up
