Large bird found in tree in Packanack Lk, Wayne, N.J. On 8/18/14

Light gray breast with pitch black head perched on a tree branch..overlooking our brook. Maybe looking for a fish dinner? The beak was about 2 inches long and straight. It was approximately the size of a hawk. Any idea of what it could be? Sorry, I could get a picture of him....

    It is grey with a long beak and a white ring around it's neck. The bird is about the size of a dove and I live in Florida near the Georgia line.
