june 2017 . a yellow flicker hit the window of the house. was stunned for half hour then started to come to. looks like it broke leg couldn't fly . taken to a local nature conservation rescue in Lindsay Ontario.

a very beautiful bird with attitude .
think it will be ok if it gets proper attention.
hopefully will be back on track soon

You did the right thing NEW

Birds who receive care in the first 24 hrs have a much better chance of recovery. After a few days the bones set on their own, if not properly attended to. And the damage if often fatal.

You did the right thing to bring the bird to get medical attention.

If the bird is only in shock, it often will recover in a few minutes, with only a little help from you.
But broken wings or injured legs need professional care.
