Just a Sparrow?

(Atlanta, GA)

This bird perches on the peak of a garage roof-top and sings and sings. It is too far to get a good look with binoculars, but it has a white breast and has varied brown feathers on the rest of his body. He seems to be about 6 inches. It is the singing that got my attention. He has various songs, but the most common is a series of notes followed by a trill. He spends a lot of time on that roof peak, and I never seem to see him fly.
