Jay walker

I have witnessed the nastiness of the Bluejay chasing squirrels and neighborhood cats.
Today I view them TOTALLY differently.
My sweet daughter is and has been well for 3 years.
In Jan of 2011 began the worst year of our lives.
7 months misdiagnosed. Finally someone KNEW what she suffered.
Treatment 3 day IV steroid too late. Thus began 3.5 month
Touch and go numerous surgeries.3 months in I was in backyard tending to morning glory seed harvesting.A jay began swooping my 2 grandchildren then landing on the fence less than a foot from me.
I was quite frightened, having seen Hitchcocks Birds, but these are my grandchildren I can not show my fear.Jay kept looking at my hand full of seed cocking his head side to side....I said out loud " surely you can NOT want me to feed you seed"?
I put 6 or so in my hand and carefully moved it toward Jay.
He ATE IT! So I kept it up for a good 10 minutes. When my granddaughter edged too close,Jay swooped her and went on roof then left.
So UNBELIEVABLE,I immediately felt it was a sign...a good omen that the bluebird of happiness just told me my beautiful daughter would survive.
2 weeks later she returned home. Morning Glory are grown and seed harvested every year THIS HAS NOT HAPPENED AGAIN!But I
LOVE Jays now.

Love the Jays too.

I love the blue jays. I think they get a bum rap. I have several pictures on my facebook page: my father's world Ohio.
