A pair of these birds have appeared in my garden for the past two days, They are very skittish, they hop around the ground quite like a robin, sometimes the spend a long time resting on the wall or the top of the bird table. I apologize for the quality of the photographs, they were taken at a good distance and through my kitchen window.

I know what it is!

I have discovered through some more research that it is in fact a Northern Wheatear (Oenanthe oenanthe) so that makes me very happy, another one for my list.
