First time seeing this bird, believe it to be a Immature Rose Breasted Grosbeak, in MA 12/30/17. Has visited feeder with black oiled sunflower seeds 12/30/17 & 1/1/18. Must be lost or a late start going south.

Rose Breasted Grosbeaks in St. Petersburg Florida NEW
by: Sheryl Coffy

We have been blessed with a flock of rose breasted grosbeaks that have claimed our backyard as their stop over to the north. We saw them several days ago, April 17, 2018. We have several bird feeders with sunflower seeds in them, and several bird baths. They somehow spotted our back yard and have been flying back and forth to all the feeders in a frenzy! It looks like at least 6 mated pairs. This is the 4th day they have been with us. I have stand feeders as well, and have been keepers all feeders filled to the brim. They interact well with our blue jays, cardinals, titmice and house wrens. This has been a marvelous blessing. Wish I could attach pictures I shot.
Sincerely,

it could possibly be them. is thete any way you can create a ledge or a place that,s sheltered? i think this coming storm might kill them the wind chill factor is a bird killer. can you move the feeder closer to the house so they are not exposed?
