Identify this Bird

My friend took a photo of this bird while we were walking along a country road not too long ago. I was just curious as to what type of bird this is. It was in New South Wales, mid north coast, in a small town called Port Macquarie.

The Common Koel
by: Judy

I love a challenge! Since you and your friend didn't recognize the bird, I figured it was probably a migratory bird. So I did a web search for "migratory birds in Australia". I came up with this website:
Eudynamys-scolopacea

Your visitor looks like an immature female Common Koel! Take a look at this webpage, because they are taking a survey of sightings of this bird this spring.
