I THINK THIS MAY BE A PARTIAL ALBINO SPARROW

This little bird has shown up at feeds with flocks of sparrows all winter. Looks much whiter than in picture. Is this an albino sparrow?

albinos are usually a very pale yellow with pinkish or red eyes. I suspect this little guy is Leucistic. Its another condition that causes discoloration to occur. Want to see another one? In your search box type leucistic pileated woodpecker. I stumbled across this information looking for pictures of woodpeckers. Thanks for sharing the photo they are really pretty rare.

    Small dusky or dark gray bird, 3 to 4 inches, with a fan shaped tail. The tail had 2 yellow triangle markings, which were about 3/4 to 1 inch each.
