I love Grosbeaks!

by Hayley
(Texas)

Today ( 5/2/11) for the first time ever, on a rainy, dreary day, I saw a real live male Rose-breasted Grosbeak! He was so wonderful! I love his red breast! He is larger than I thought he would be. My seed mix he is eating from contains sunflower, safflower, milo, cracked corn, and fruit pieces. I just love this fella! I hope he will return again! I have been seeing many reports of these birds on here, and I didn't think I would get to see one for real!
