Hummingbird Fan

We have been feeding hummingbirds for years and one afternoon we were watching the "pecking order" of these fierce little creatures. I decided to stand near the feeder to capture a photo and the one who was protecting the feeder( thinking it was just for him apparently) was so close to my face that I could not only hear his wings, but he was fanning my cheek! I did not move as my husband stood in awe near the window watching. Needless to say, I had goosebumps....what an experience.

The mighty little bird was so protective of the feeder, he was willing to defend it against me!
