HUGE House Sparrow?

This morning I took a photo of a bird with the markings of a house sparrow, but much larger. I snapped quite a few pictures, and then printed a couple and using the branch of the tree for perspective, I measured the approximate width at the breast, and length to the tail feathers. It is about 3" wide at the breast about about 7" long. If it were significantly smaller, I'd say it was definitely a house sparrow, but it is closer in size to a robin. We live in Westnern Pennsylvania, about 30 miles east of Pittsburgh in a fairly rural area and our housing development is surrounded by farms. We have a pretty lively backyard feeding station, with just about every typical backyard bird in our region stopping to feed. Any ideas? Thanks!
