I am in northeast Ohio. I have now seen this bird 4 times in 2 days but unable to photograph as of yet. He is 8-10 inches tall. Black head slender longer neck, with 2 1/2 inch curved beak. He has yellow legs. He was in a tree, I did see him fly, his body appeared to be more slate gray than black, but still dark. Could he be a juvenile. I cannot find a picture in any of my books. Curved beak, a shore bird?
