Help -What Is This Bird?

Unknown Bird

Unknown Bird

Hi Susan,
I'm very excited about getting involved with birding. I have just retired and have the time to sit in the yard and enjoy all of the winged beauties. I was a photographer for over 30 years, so I plan on putting some of my equipment back
to work.

I'm using the "National Geographic Field Guide To The Birds" for reference and have been able to identify many of our visitors. I'm having a problem with this one, can you help me out?

I live in Connecticut.

Answer I'm not sure. Let's ask our readers for help identifying this bird. Please send us your comments. Susan
