Help identifying this bird

by Dawn Chandros
(Reisterstown, MD, USA)

She is a red-brown on the back, light mottled with the brown on her throat and chest and belly. Up close the wings have a chevron pattern of light and dark. She has a horizontal bar behind her eye. Beak is longer and thinner, and when she sings her beak is wide open and her head is up toward the sky a little. She has a horizonal barred pattern on the tail. Her nest seems to be made entirely of sticks.

Hi Dawn,

You have given an excellent description of your bird! But,I see that no one has been able to ID it. I suggest you call your nearest Audubon Society and ask them, they will ask you to send them your pics.
