Help Identify

by Annie

This bird came into the house through an open door. I have never seen one like this. He was black with beautiful bright orange accents on his wings and on the sides of his tail feathers. I was able to rescue him from the house (and the dog) after he flew into a window. I think the window hit knocked starts in his head. I was able to pick him up and release him outside, but he didn't fly away immediately. He perched on the deck for a few minutes before flying up to a tree limb. He was so beautiful and I'd really like to know his kind.
