Hawk or Osprey?

by Jessica
(Mandeville, LA)

Well, I live in coastal Louisiana near a large lake and wildlife area. The area has bald eagles, but this was clearly not one. However, this large bird was in my neighbor's yard using his talons to kill a very large squirrel. He was very protective over it, even though I was in a car, then he flew with the squirrel over my car and into a tree. I managed to get two photos, one clearer than the other. But this was not the usual red tailed hawk that we normally see. He was much bigger and solid white (no markings at all) on his feet, breast and chin. The white was solid, no breaks. Please help me
