Have you ever heard of this?

Well Saturday, July 14th, 2012, I bought a hummingbird feeder for us to watch off the porch. My mother was so disappointed when we said we would not get a Blue Martin house because they did not eat mosquitoes and did eat bees which I have bee hives. A little counter productive there.
Well by Saturday evening I had put up the feeder and printed out several write ups on how to do things best. By Monday evening we had identified at least 4 different hummingbirds.
All this is regular and expected - its what happened the next day that was a shock. Everyday I hang my used plastic shopping bags to use again the next day on a Sheppards Hook just off our porch which also supports a solar lamp. The used bags are usually wet and some dirt from picking vegetables out of our garden.
My mother had promised a friend at her church group she meets with twice a week that she would bring her some tomatoes when they got ripe. So this morning I grabbed the top used bag and went down into the garden to pick some things for her friend. I picked some yellow crooked neck squash and several tomatoes then gingerly placed them at my feet in the car taking my mother to her meeting.
The meeting only lasted 3 or so hours and we picked her up about at noon. When we arrived home it had been some time and my mother comes out to me and says she has something to tell me. Now my mother is 92 and things just don't come to her mind rapidly so it took her a bit. Her friend had placed the bag of veggies at her feet but noticed something moving in the bag. Another 90 some year old. She says, something is moving in that bag. She looked closer and there was a hummingbird, she said, its a little bird. Well it flew off and we just pray and hope someone there at the church was able to get it outside. The only one missing was the red one.
