hair raising

Working in my garden I have humming birds buzz me all the time. Recently I have a humming bird buzz me and then come back and pull my hair. I told my daughter who lives a mile away. She said she had the same experience. I had never heard anyone tell me that before. Is that common behavior?

Most likely you were too close to the nest and you were being scared away.

It's nest building time. I wonder if the hummingbird thought your hair would be perfect to line their nest!
